Pac-Rim improved it's ability to exceed customer expectations in July, 1996 with the addition of a modern consolidation facility. This faciltiy has helped increase service with twenty-two loading bays and a three acre yard to load and inspect product. With the addition of the facility Pac-Rim shipped over three hundred containers of building materials to Japan last year.
This type of facility is unique in the industry. Most of Pac-Rim's competitors operate out of a single office with a phone and fax machine. When they receive orders they have all the material forwarded to a third party who loads the product. This creates many errors and often the client finds out much too late after spending a lot of money. With the new operations center, Pac-Rim controls the whole process, while eliminating the errors.
